Our journey begins in the 1960s, when a small, quaint restaurant named Maria’s first opened its doors in Amherstburg, Ontario. Over the years, it became a cherished local landmark known for its welcoming atmosphere and dedication to great food.
In 2013, Natalie Bortelli and Kirk Churchill proudly took over ownership of this impressive establishment, continuing its tradition while bringing new energy and vision to the business.
During the COVID-19 pandemic — a time when nearly 55% of restaurants across Canada were forced to shut down — Natalie and Kirk faced one of the toughest decisions of their careers. Determined to keep the legacy alive, they made the bold move to take the restaurant to the streets on wheels, creating what would become Nat’s Wraps and Apps.
In October 2024, Kevin Churchill and James Godman assumed ownership, committed to carrying forward the Nat’s Wraps and Apps legacy and honoring the family tradition that has been built over generations.
